When I composed “Nuit d’Orient,” I wanted to capture the soul of those magical, mysterious desert nights. Imagine vast dunes draped in darkness under a sky filled with countless stars. It was in this almost sacred silence that I found my inspiration.
The piece unfolds in three movements. The first, Twilight over the Dunes, begins with deep, slow strings, symbolizing sunset and the arrival of night. Next, The Stars and the Legends evokes the ancient wisdom of desert peoples: flutes and cello narrate timeless stories, illuminated by oriental harmonies. Finally, *Dance of the Shadows* comes alive with tribal percussion and a captivating rhythm, capturing the spirit of night celebrations and freedom beneath the open sky.
“Nuit d’Orient” is a journey, an adventure between dream and reality. I sought to evoke the wild, spiritual beauty of those nights where the stars seem to whisper forgotten legends. This composition is an invitation to explore the Orient through music, immersing oneself in its mysteries and enchantment.
